SGLC-ERIC Inaguration & Buildings Groundbreaking

There is no formal inauguration due to pandemic. However, some activities are held, one of them is groundbreaking of SGLC-ERIC Buildings that have been held on December 1st, 2020 attended by chancellor and vice chancellor of UGM, dean and vice dean of FoE UGM, and faculty staff representatives. This building construction carried out to support students’ learning process without boundaries in the future : Various learning facilities to access learning resources all over the world Internet and multimedia technologies Students have the control to define the method of learning (student-centered) Campus is a living laboratory

Berbagai pihak di Indonesia baik pemerintah maupun industri dan akademisi telah memiliki kesadaran untuk menginisiasi eksplorasi critical elements dan telah berhasil mengidentifikasi keberadaan sumberdaya REE baru, namun belum diakui sebagai cadangan karena terkendala kadar dan tonase yang rendah. Sebagai salah satu jalan keluar, eksplorasi critical elements harus dilakukan secara lebih sistematis dengan evaluasi yang lebih detil. Karakterisasi merupakan salah satu proses terpenting yang nantinya akan mempengaruhi proses ekstraksi, sehingga dapat tercapai ekstraksi total yang akan menambah nilai keekonomian eksploitasi critical elements.
